Awakening begins with the realization that we were born into the conditioning of dualistic thinking and our personal lives reflect back to us this dualistic thinking. Ponder for a moment when you are participating in dualistic thinking and how it prevents you from moving forward in your attempt to rise into higher levels of consciousness.
We say we are on a spiritual journey, we say we are conscious, we say we want to evolve yet we miss one very important aspect of becoming conscious. The elimination of dualistic thinking. We judge, “This is good and that is bad. I am right, and he is wrong. I am inferior to this person and I am superior to that person. We have not yet completely opened our minds to accept another way of thinking, another way of being, another way of allowing our lives and our world to be. We have not yet considered that maybe in the eyes of God, Source, Oneness with all being, there is no right or wrong, no good or bad. What if all was in Divine order? A perfect and Divinely executed plan devised for the evolution of each one of our Souls. We must stop and be with the allowing of and the flow of what is happening in our lives exactly the way it is and consider what the purpose of what is happening could be to the evolution of our Souls. Being with our thoughts, our feelings, our behaviors and just witnessing what goes on in our minds and our hearts. Being with ourselves on the deepest level. Getting to know ourselves from the highest place so we can break through some of the unconscious thoughts, words, and actions that we are continuing to put out to the Universe which creates the collective consciousness and the planet we live on. If we do not come to the conclusion that we are thinking with a dualist mind set which in turn develops into dualistic behaviors, we cannot truly, fully know ourselves and we cannot truly shift the way of thinking on the planet. This shift takes vigilant supervision of the way we are thinking every minute of the day. The mind will take you over if you are not privy to its manipulation. Judging is the perfect example of how the mind takes us over and uses us. We judge our circumstances at every moment of our lives. This moment is good, or this moment is bad. I am feeling good when he or she does this, but I feel bad when he or she does that. I feel guilty when I don’t behave a certain way. The mind likes to pretend and trap us into thinking that the outer world can dictate our feelings, dictate our actions. The truth is that the mind has no power over us other than the power we give it. Every time it takes us over and we believe it, it (ego) gets stronger and stronger. The mind cannot dictate our lives unless we give it the power over us by believing what it says, but we haven’t yet gotten to that level of consciousness on this planet because too many of us don’t witness our thoughts. Look at the following examples of dualistic thinking and notice if you tend to think in similar ways: You have an argument with a loved one. You see things your way and they see things their way. No one is budging on their perspective. You feel that you are “right”, and you feel that they are “wrong”. They feel that they are “right”, and they feel that you are “wrong”. Very very black and white thinking. A loved one is ill with a disease, involved in an addiction, depressed, emotionally suffering, or financially devastated by a job loss. Whatever the situation; it makes you feel sick to your stomach. You think that this situation is “bad, horrible, horrendous”. You feel equally bad and worry yourself to death about it and about their situation. You go into despair over their well-being. You desire the situation or the circumstances around this situation to go away. You think to yourself that things would be “better” if the situation was brought to an end. You feel that not having a partner to share your life is “bad,” and that makes you feel frustrated, angry, and confused. You feel “bad” about yourself and you feel like you are a failure. You think to yourself, if I don’t have someone to share intimacy with, I cannot be “happy.” You may even think to yourself that I am miserable and sad without a partner or your life is incomplete, and you don’t want to exist unless you have a committed relationship. You don’t have a job, and to you, that is “bad.” This makes you feel horrible about yourself and you think to yourself, “I don’t feel valuable if I am not working at a job that pays me a salary. I must be worthless.” If you resonate with any of these statements, you are in a dualistic trance and you will continue to be trapped in your own suffering. The egoic mind prevents us from seeing the bigger picture of the situation and from the perspective of the Soul. The Soul of the other and the Soul of yourself. We are blinded by our own narcissistic tendency to immediately judge any situation as bad or good, wrong or right, happy or sad. Repeatedly thinking to yourself, I don’t have a partner to share my life and this is the worst thing that could happen to a human being is judging something as bad before even considering why it just is or why it just is not at the moment. We resist the ability to remain neutral to the circumstances AND this exact tendency creates the perpetual loop that continues the situation we call “bad” in the first place. Become aware when you are judging something as good or bad. This alone will shift your consciousness. For example: If you are compelled in one way or another to judge the Politics of the United States, good or bad, be open to seeing it another way. Be open to allowing a more neutral position to open up inside you. Experience non-judgment of the political climate at the moment. When we view something from a neutral, divinely ordered perspective, we can experience an entirely new light from which to view the situation. New revelations, fresh perspectives can ignite! Can you feel that? It is light. It is whole. It is sacred. Way different than, “I am stuck in my blind mentality and cannot see past my egoic perspective of reality therefore I must prove that I am right in my view of politics.” We, individually and collectively attract and pull in to our being the perfect situations and circumstances to assist us in our growth and evolutionary process. Our vibrational frequency and light quotient dictate this process. This is the reason certain things affect you much differently than they affect me. Quite simply, something that affects you on a deep level is meant for you and that is the reason it is affecting you and something that affects me is meant for me and my emotional growth and that is the reason it is affecting me in such a way. We must become aware of this phenomenon of perception and how our personal perception of a situation is based on what we need to grow at any given moment. Who are we to judge? Who are we to assume to know the bigger picture? Nothing should be judged because it already is and that makes is unnecessary of judgment. Judging hinders the solution and the evolution of the situation. This new way of being that I am suggesting brings in another dimension of thinking about life in general. This way of perceiving reality opens up the door to a higher way of being on the planet that flows with reality as opposed to against reality. This manner of living opens the heart chakra of humanity in a way that can shift the collective. I invite you to open your heart to living a non-dualistic life and committing to it in all aspects of your life including judgments of people, situations, your life, and yourself.
